Checkmate to the bureaucracy and incentives anti “hit and run”: the Kingdom of Neptune’s Marine Protected Area simplifies the procedure for the issue of the authorisations, which, for the running boating season, will take place electronically (as it is happening from April, during the lockdown) and it facilitates a longer permanence in Ischia and Procida’s waters.
At the end of a successful summit with the managers of the ports and the main landing places of Ischia and Procida, the new procedure has been shared: in the face of an information request sent via email to info@nettunoamp.it, the applicant will receive a form and information with useful data to prepare the documentation. Upon receipt of the documentation, you can get the authorisation in maximum 48 hours.
In order to encourage the boaters to refer to the marines present on the territory, the procedure regarding the transits has been simplified and, with the aim to collaborate reciprocally, it has been decided to help those who will adhere giving the authorisation to their own clients abolishing the anticipation of the cost of the authorisations pad. The pads can be collected at the MPA’s headquarter, from Monday to Friday, preferably prior appointment.
Moreover, regarding the authorisations, it is expected that the boaters regularly contractualised at the marines and holding concessions, as established by Regulation, will be treated as residents, with an existing economic benefit: it is about an incentive to stay several days in the waters of the Kingdom of Neptune, with consequent benefits for the entire touristic industry. The director Antonino Miccio explains that “the aim is to support operators and workers as much as possible, limiting the bother of bureaucracy while waiting for the permanent elimination of paper forms, which we hope for next year - and showing once again that the Marine Protected Area is an allied for those who live the sea and want to do so in the proper precautions”.
