On Thursday 15th of October, at 6 pm, at the Circolo Posillipo, the Dies Artis Association presents the latest book, La stagione del fango (The season of mud), by Antonio Fusco, published by Giunti.
The last literacy work of Antonio Fusco is partly set in Naples, the city where the author was trained, before wandering for work around Italy and arriving in Tuscany in 2000.
Commissioner asabona, the protagonist of Antonio Fusco’s thriller, will have to face a descent into Hell which will lead him to the Neapolitan county seat, where he will try to save himslef and his policeman honour.
The journalist Luigi Vicinanza will converse with Fusco on Thursday 15th of October, after the introduction by Enrico Deuringer and the greetings from the President of the green and red Association and the Councilor for cultural events Filippo Smaldone. The readings will be entrusted to Sergio Savastano and the musical accompaniment to Beniamino di Lorenzo.
The Circolo Nautico Posillipo and the Dies Artis Association will give birth, therefore, to a cultural event representing an opportunity to get to know Fusco and his writing but also a way to bring the author back to his city, where he was born and where he also worked, and where he has many loyal readers.

Antonio Fusco was born on 1964 in Naples. He is a State Police official and a forensic criminologist. He has been living in Tuscany since 2000, where he deals with Judicial Police investigations and at the moment he holds the position of head of the Pistoia mobile squad.
As a writer, he has won several prizes among which the Mariano Romiti Prize, the Tuscan Writer and the Garfagnana in Giallo Prize. Many of his works are traduced abroad.
La stagione del fango is his sixth novel.
